1 Peter: Submission to Authority

In 1 Peter 2:13–17, Peter teaches believers how to live faithfully under earthly authority while remaining fully devoted to Christ. Christians are called to submit to governing authorities, not because government is ultimate, but because God is. Our obedience, humility, and honorable conduct become a powerful witness to a watching world. At the same time,  when government steps outside of God’s moral design, believers must obey God above all else.
