Questions from God: Do You Want to be Healed?

For 38 years, this man has lived with the same condition, the same disappointment, and the same excuses. Then Jesus walks into his situation and asks a seemingly obvious question: “Do you want to be made well?” Jesus wasn't asking because He didn't know the answer—He was inviting the man to confront whether he was willing to leave behind what had become familiar and follow Jesus into something new. The same question confronts us: Are we willing to let Jesus change the things we've learned to live with?
